How We Measure

Shoes

All shoe sizes given in US sizing unless otherwise specified.

Bottoms

WAIST: Pull the front of the pants up so it lines up evenly with the back. Measure straight across the waist. It is VERY important to be sure to pull the front completely up in line with the back, or else it will result in a smaller waist measurement, which is not the true accurate measurement.

FRONT RISE: Measure from the center of the crotch to the top of the waist.

BACK RISE: On the back, measure from the top of the waist to the center of the crotch.

UPPER THIGH: Start 1″ down from the crotch, measure straight across the thigh.

KNEE: Start 13″ down from the crotch, measure straight across the knee.

LEG OPENING: Measure across the very bottom of the leg at the opening.

INSEAM: Measure from the crotch to the end of the leg.

Tops

FRONT LENGTH: Measure from the top seam near the collar to the bottom of the shirt.

CHEST: Measure straight across, from armpit to armpit.

SLEEVE: Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.

The Iron Heart IH-555S-SBG 21oz Superblack Fades to Grey denim is arguably the greatest fading black denim in the world.  Think beautifully worn-in faded blue jeans but in grey tone.  Iron Heart's 21oz denim is no joke--heavy but unexpectedly soft and breathable, feeling deceptively like a mid-weight jean when worn.  Model is 5’10,” 175 lbs wearing size 31. 

Features:

  • Made of sanforized 21oz 100% cotton selvedge denim woven in Japan 
  • Black sulphur rope dyed warp & black reactive dyed weft to fade with wash and wear 
  • Fit: Slim cut with higher medium rise and slim straight leg 
  • Lined back pockets, button fly, hidden rivets, belt loops sewn into waistband
  • Sanforized (pre-shrunk) & once-washed, so little shrinkage to be expected
  • Selvedge side seams and fly construction w/ red line selvedge
  • Natural vegetable tanned leather patch at back waist
